Monique is certified in Storytime Yoga™, K-12 classroom teaching, and hatha yoga

The benefits of yoga go beyond exercise. Yoga and mindfulness have been shown to improve both physical and mental health in school-age children.  A growing body of research has shown that yoga can improve focus, memory, self-esteem, academic performance, and classroom behavior, and can even reduce anxiety and stress in children.

Monique has 20 years of teaching experience and makes mindfulness, story telling, and yoga fun for kids! 

Each Kids Yoga class includes:

  • Warm ups and songs
  • A story with a moral lesson
  • Q&A about the moral lesson
  • Acting out the story with yoga postures
  • Mindfulness practice

Classes are taught weekly via Zoom on Thursdays from 4:00-5:00 pm CST.
